Professor Ferriell joined the Capital faculty in 1987. He is a Visiting Professor of Law at Seattle University School of Law for the 2009-10 academic year, where he will be teaching Contracts, Bankruptcy and UCC Sales and Secured Transactions. Before coming to Capital, Professor Ferriell was a tenured Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University. He has been a Visiting Professor at Santa Clara, San Diego, and Ohio State, and a law teaching fellow at Illinois. His areas of research are Contracts, Bankruptcy, and the Uniform Commercial Code. He is the co-author of two law school hornbooks: “Understanding Contracts” (2004, with the late Michael Navin) and “Understanding Bankruptcy” (2d ed. 2007, with Edward J. Janger). In 2007, he was appointed as one of Ohio’s representatives to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL).
