Annual CLE Seminar December 11, 2004

The African American Law Alumni Association (AALAA) will hold this year’s General Practice Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar, A Lawyer’s Perspective, on December 11, 2004 from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm. The seminar, which helps fund the David D. White Scholarship, will take place at the School Employees Retirement System. Register by November 30, 2004.

Watson Appointed to US District Court

Law Student Janine Maney Publishes in NYU Journal

Professor Ferriell Publishes Book

Michael Harrison Watson, a 1987 graduate of Capital University Law School, has been appointed to the bench for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He is replacing U.S. District Judge James L. Graham.

Capital University Law School student Janine Maney has had an article accepted by the New York University Environmental Law Journal. Her article, “Carbon Dioxide Emissions, Global Warming, and the Clean Air Act” will appear in the journal’s Volume 13 Issue 1 scheduled for print in January 2005.

Professor of Law Jeffrey T. Ferriell has published Understanding Contracts, a new contracts hornbook designed for use primarily by first-year law students. Professor Ferriell co-authored the book with Professor Michael J. Navin.
