  National Center for Adoption Law & Policy To Launch

 Powerful Adoption E-tool for Parents and Professionals

 

WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, July 15, The National Center for Adoption Law & Policy at Capital University Law School, located in Columbus, Ohio, will release and demonstrate the nation’s first comprehensive online compilation and synthesis of the law of adoption at a press briefing in Washington DC.  This new e-tool will provide free user-friendly access to the adoption-related statutes and regulations, as well as the key cases and articles, from every U.S. state and territory, along with federal and international materials.

The briefing will take place in the Holeman Lounge of the National Press Club, 529 14th Street, NW, 13th Floor, Washington, DC. at 10:00 a.m.  The briefing will feature succinct remarks by:

 

·         Professor Kent Markus, Director, National Center for Adoption Law & Policy

·         U.S. Rep. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio), adoption advocate, adoptive parent, former judge

 

·         Janice Goldwater, Executive Director of Adoptions Together, Inc.

·         Sue Badeau, mother of 22 children, 20 by adoption, adoption advocate, national adoption trainer and Deputy Director of the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care
