Smoke-Free Housing

Welcome. Please be advised that the Tobacco Public Policy Center's funding source, the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation, was recently abolished by the Ohio state legislature. As a result, the Tobacco Public Policy Center at Capital University Law School no longer maintains paid staff, and no one is available to address specific questions. At the present time, the information on this website remains available for review. Please note that the website was last updated on or around July 1, 2008, and will no longer be updated. The content on this website is scheduled to be removed on or shortly after December 31, 2008.

We are in the process of building our Smoke-Free Housing Registry. Soon, you'll be able to search by city or zip code for a smoke-free apartment, duplex, or rental house near you. In the meantime, if you have questions about smoke-free housing or our registry, please contact us at (614) 236-7315 or tobacco@law.capital.edu.

Property Managers and Owners: Click here to add your property to the Registry.

Residents: Click here to tell your property manager or owner about the Registry.

Please note: The Tobacco Public Policy Center cannot guarantee the accuracy of this Registry and makes no guarantee that the listed units are 100% smoke-free. Do not rely solely on this Registry; verify that units are smoke-free before signing a rental agreement. This Registry is provided as a free service to potential renters, but all rental agreements are between the resident and the property manager and/or owner. The Tobacco Public Policy Center reserves the right to remove any listing for any reason, and we will remove listings that are reported to allow smoking.
