From the Executive Director

The Columbus Dispatch recently reported that the Ohio State University Board of Trustees is interested in investigating whether Ohio State could become a completely smoke-free campus (both indoors and outdoors). The trustees' discussion followed their approval of the new policy making the Ohio State medical campus entirely smoke-free.

Though no other university of Ohio State's size has implemented a 100% smoke-free policy, several smaller colleges and universities have. Those schools are listed here. Other universities, including Boise State and the University of Nebraska-Omaha have been actively discussing the possibility of becoming smoke-free campuses. Nationally, the American College Health Association has called for college campuses to become smoke-free environments.
