From the Executive Director

We have confirmed a very exciting lineup of speakers for our second annual conference, "Waiting to Exhale: The Future of Tobacco Litigation." The one-day conference will be held on October 27th at Quest Business Centers in Columbus, and it will offer 5.75 hours of CLE credit for attorneys. Many thanks to the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers for co-sponsoring the conference.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to lawsuits against tobacco companies and secondhand smoke litigation, and it will feature some of the leading experts in the country. The keynote speaker will be Professor Richard Daynard, associate dean of Northeastern University School of Law. Professor Daynard is chair of the Tobacco Products Liability Project and a leading advocate of using lawsuits to hold the tobacco industry liable for the death and illness caused by its products.
