For the first time, Capital University Law School is offering its ABA approved, post-baccalaureate paralegal program in a compressed, full-time format. Students obtain the full 324 clock hours of instruction necessary to obtain their paralegal certificate in a fourteen-week time period. Featuring this thirty-year old program’s classic general practice curriculum, students obtain instruction in legal research and writing, civil litigation, business law, real estate, probate, family law, ethics and criminal procedure. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Students will not be able to work full-time while taking this intensive program. All classes are taught at Capital University Law School. One of only a handful of programs that are part of an ABA accredited law school, the Capital University Law School Paralegal Program also is endorsed by the Columbus Bar Association. This graduate course of study, combining legal theory and practice, is ideal for recent college graduates who are looking to accelerate into the workforce or for those seeking a career change. The paralegal profession is one of the top ten fastest growing professions, with the Department of Labor predicting that paralegal positions are estimated to increase 62 percent through 2008, creating thousands of new career opportunities.
