Chair of ABA’s Section on Antitrust Law, James Wilson Presented Antitrust and Business Law Discussion - Video Available

The Corporate and Business Law Association presented guest speaker James Wilson, current chair of the American Bar Association’s Section on Antitrust Law and a partner in the Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, on Monday, April 6. Wilson reviewed how a new president and administration, an economic crisis, and other factors might impact antitrust law and affect general business practice.

As chair of the country’s largest organization of antitrust lawyers from government, private practice, corporate, academia and abroad, Mr. Wilson is a nationally recognized expert on antitrust law. He has been in a leadership position in the ABA Section on Antitrust Law for the past ten years. As a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation practice group, Mr. Wilson represents clients in a wide variety of antitrust matters, including criminal investigations and trials, civil actions and Hart-Scott-Rodino investigations.  He has represented more than a dozen individuals in antitrust criminal investigations during the last five years, including a number of foreign nationals.  He has experience trying both criminal and civil antitrust matters, as well as other complex business litigation, including class actions.

Mr. Wilson received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a member of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems and served as its managing editor.  He clerked for The Honorable Walter H. Rice of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
