Capital University Law School Hosts Minority ADR Institute

May 21, 2004

Over 100 minority dispute resolution professionals from across the country attended the National Training Institute for Minority Professionals in Alternative Dispute Resolution last week from Monday, May 17 through Friday May 21.

Held at the Law School, the Institute covered the following topics:

Labor Arbitration
Family, Divorce, and Custody Mediation
Environmental and Public Policy
Transformative Mediation
Research and Writing in the Field of Alternative Dispute Resolution

Each of the topics was covered in depth by leading mediation professionals. Additionally, in response to recommendations from attendees at previous ADR training events, the Institute focused not only on opportunities to enhance mediation skills, but also created networking and mentoring opportunities.

For more information about alternative dispute resolution or for information about next year’s national conference to be held May 18-21, 2005, please contact Professor of Law and Director of Minority ADR Initiatives Floyd D. Weatherspoon at 614-236-6531.
