
Annual CLE Seminar December 11, 2004November 17, 2004
The Capital University Law School African American Law Alumni Association (AALAA) will hold this year’s General Practice Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar, A Lawyer’s Perspective, on December 11, 2004 from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm. The seminar will take place at the School Employees Retirement System (O’Keefe Conference Center, 1st Floor). [ Directions ] The CLE Seminar provides attorneys an end of the year opportunity to complete required CLE credits and helps fund the David D. White Scholarship. The David D. White Scholarship is awarded annually to provide financial support and encourage African-American students to excel at Capital University Law School. Topics will include: ethics, professional responsibility, substance abuse, criminal trial procedure, civil trial preparation and procedure, and intellectual property law. Presenters feature Capital University Law School Alumni Frederick D. Benton Jr., L ’80, and John W. Waddy Jr., L ’78, as well as other prominent members of the legal community. This CLE event has been approved for 6.5 total credits, including 1 hour of ethics, 1 hour of professionalism and .5 hour of substance abuse instruction. The cost is $150 before Nov. 30, 2004 and $200 on or after Dec. 1, 2004. Parking is complimentary.
