Tax Planning Institute To Be Held October 22

Covering issues surrounding the complex and changing relationship between state and local taxes and federal tax law, this year’s Tax Planning Institute features leading tax and corporate practitioners with multi-state and national perspectives. It will be held at the Columbus, Ohio, Hyatt Regency on October 22, 2004, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Registration starts at 8:00 am with advance registration encouraged.

Entitled The Dynamic Interaction of State and Local Tax Issues with Federal Tax Law and sponsored for the second year by the Capital University Law School, the Institute is geared toward tax attorneys, accountants and financial planners.

Session topics include:

  • Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP)

  • Business Activity Taxes (BAT)

  • Same-Gender Marriages

  • State Adoption of IRC Changes

  • Tax Shelter Developments

  • Election Year Politics & IRS Update

  • Employment Taxes in Mergers & Acquisitions

This course has been approved by the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 6.25 CLE credit hours. Eight Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit hours for accountants are also available.
