Minority Law Student Recruitment Day to be Held February 2, 2004

January 22, 2004

As part of National Minority Recruitment month, Capital University Law School is hosting a group of 30 minority students from Franklin County high schools. The program runs from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday, February 2, 2004.

The program begins with a welcome message from Capital University Law School Interim Dean Athornia Steele. Following this message, participating students will take a tour of the law school, attend a mock law class and engage in panel discussions with current law students and attorneys.

Participating high schools select two students to attend the program. “The program is intended to encourage minority students to consider entering the legal profession,” says Torian Lee, director of student and minority affairs.

The program provides an excellent opportunity for high school students to become familiar with the Law School and issues involved in pursuing a law degree.
