Mr. Kummer is responsible for communicating emerging legislative,
regulatory, and judiciary developments to the Firm and its clients. Mr.
Kummer oversees the content development of Tax News & Views and other
D&T tax publications. He also serves as Washington liaison to the
Firm's Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Consumer Products,
Retail & Services (CPRS) practices and advises clients as a member
of the TPSG tax advocacy team. Mr. Kummer's background includes nine years
in a tax policy group of another professional services firm. His Capitol
Hill experience includes working as a Legislative Assistant on tax and
budget issues for former U.S. Senator and Senate Finance Committee member
Steve Symms, R-Idaho. Mr. Kummer holds a BS in Political Science from
the University of Idaho and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
