
Dean Bahls Receiveds Liberty Bell AwardCapital University Law School Dean Steven C. Bahls has been named the 2003 Liberty Bell Award recipient. He was honored April 29 by the Columbus Bar Association at the Annual Law Day luncheon. The award is given to an individual who, by extraordinary efforts in the community, has demonstrated leadership and dedication to the principles of the democratic system of government by law and who, by public respect and understanding of each citizen's duties, promotes the general welfare and secures the blessing of liberty to current and future generations. "Steven Bahls leaves behind a wonderfully updated and diverse Capital Law School - including new programs he and his faculty helped create, like the Center for Adoption Law, the Family Advocacy Clinic, a new LL. Program in Business Law, and expansion of the paralegal education program. I hope he takes forward our enduring gratitude and appreciation for his service, his leadership, and his accomplishments," said CBA President David Patterson. |
