Law Students Compete in Environmental Law Moot Court Competition - Receive
Oralist Honors
Capital University Law School students competed in the Sixteenth Annual
National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition hosted by Pace University
Law School in White Plains, NY. Team member Wesley Davis of Columbus,
OH, won honors for being the best oralist in two preliminary round arguments.
Michelle Ali of Butler, PA received the second best oralist honor in one
of the preliminary round arguments.
The competition draws more than 200 law students from across the United
States and Canada and is recognized as the preeminent environmental law
moot court competition in the country. Students are judged on appellate
brief writing and oral advocacy involving contemporary environmental law
issues.
Capital's team was coached this year by Andrew Bergman of the Porter,
Wright, Morris and Arthur law firm. This is Capital's fourth year of participation
in the competition.
