
Prehm Receives First Annual McCormac AwardDecember 8, 2003
Donna F. Prehm, Director of Paralegals at the Columbus based law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, was awarded the first annual John W. McCormac Award for Outstanding Service to the Paralegal Profession at a ceremony at the Columbus Bar Association on December 4, 2003. The event was co-sponsored by the Capital University Law School Paralegal Program and the Columbus Bar Association, with additional support from Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. The award is based on the length of involvement in the paralegal profession, support of paralegal education, efforts to promote the profession and services to the legal community and professional organizations. Ms. Prehm has been a paralegal with Vorys for over thirty years, as well as a long-standing member of the Capital University Law School Paralegal Program Advisory Board and past president of the Legal Assistant Management Association. The award is named for Judge John W. McCormac, a distinguished jurist and author, as well as a past professor and Dean of Capital University Law School and founder in 1972 of its Paralegal Program. |
