About
the CIT Conference
May 11-12, 2005
The 1st Annual National CIT Conference is directed at law
enforcement personnel, mental health professionals, family advocates,
consumers of mental health services and others who have been involved
in the development and implementation of Crisis Intervention Teams in
communities across the U.S.
The Conference will share expertise and innovative ideas
to help improve existing CIT programs and to assist communities interested
in developing new CIT programs. In addition to plenary sessions with such
speakers as Major Sam Cochran and Dr. Randy Dupont from Memphis, TN, the
Conference will offer workshops in which CIT experts from around the country
can share their expertise.
An “Awards Dinner” to recognize the “National CIT Officer
of the Year” and others who have contributed to “doing the
right thing” will be held May 11.
