Group Study Room Reservation
What To Do1. Create and register your group by following the link below entitled "Study Group Creation and Management." There you will find two more links: one to create your group and one to manage your group (e.g., to add or subtract group members). All fields are required, and each group name must be unique (that is, not already in use). You must, of course, create a group before you can manage it! 2. Once your group is registered, you may use your Microsoft Outlook account on the law school network to request a study room. At this time the reservation must still be done under your individual name. It is our hope to have a reservation system that uses your group name operative soon. The rooms themselves are listed in Microsoft Outlook under the word "Room" first, followed by number, then color. You request a room by using the calendar to create an appointment and by "asking" the room to attend (as though it were a person). For additional assistance, please contact the Law Library Circulation Supervisor at (614)236-6456 (ext.6456), Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 3. Be sure to include the other members of your group in your request, so that they know the times that you have chosen for the group, and be sure to use your group name as the heading on your request, so that the library can process your request. Remember that your request is not final or official until you have received an email notice that your request has been approved by the library. 4. The library staff checks requests as often as possible, but there is no guarantee that your request will be processed on the day that you send it. Study rooms that have not been reserved may be used on a first come, first served basis, but such rooms must be yielded to those who have approved requests for them. 5. Group Study Rooms are locked. A member from the study group must stop by the Circulation Desk and check out the study room key for the reserved room with a law school ID. The key must be returned or renewed at the end of the two hour reservation. There is a $1.00 fine for every hour the key is overdue. Study Group Creation and Management |
