LL.M in Business and Taxation Degree Requirements Previous to February 1, 2004

Degree candidates must complete 24 credit hours of required and elective courses and achieve a 2.75 grade point average or better within a six-year period. There are two concentrations within this degree: (1) Taxation; and (2) Business.

LL.M. in Business & Taxation with a Taxation Concentration
The student must successfully complete the 14 of the 16 credit hours of course work required to earn the LL.M in Taxation degree. These courses are:

The student also must enroll in the Business Planning Practicum and must elect 8 credit hours of course work from the list of business courses which are either required or elective for a student pursuing the LL.M in Business degree (see LL.M in Business for a complete listing of these courses).

LL.M in Business & Taxation with a Business Concentration
The student must successfully complete the 12 credit hours of course work required to earn the LL.M in Business degree. These courses are:

The student also must complete an additional 12 credit hours of course work as follows:

*Eight (8) credit hours of course work must come from the list of courses identified as elective courses for a student pursuing the LL.M in Taxation degree (see LL.M in Taxation for a partial listing of elective LL.M in Taxation courses). 

*4 credit hours of course work from either the courses identified as elective courses for students pursuing the LL.M in Taxation degree or the list of elective courses for students pursuing an LL.M in Business degree (see LL.M in Taxation and LL.M in Business degrees for a listing of courses).
