An expert in African-American males and the law and mediation and dispute resolution, Professor Floyd Weatherspoon has published in law journals and newspapers, is frequently quoted in the press in such publications as USA Today and The Columbus Dispatch and travels to speak at national conferences and on panel discussions regularly.
He has been honored for his research and his service to the legal community, as well as his support and participation in organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
A member of the National Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Weatherspoon also serves as an external Administrative Judge for the EEOC.

Professor Weatherspoon, director of Minority ADR Initiatives, has been working to fullfil Capital University Law School's commitment to building minority representation in the field of dispute resolution through the annual minority professionals in ADR training institutes and conferences.
Each year, the ADR intitutes and conferences attract hundreds of participants from around the United States and
bring together public and private sector individuals representing
a variety of professional backgrounds.
