Robert J. Weiler

A realtor since 1957, Professor Weiler is a real estate appraisal professional, chairman of the Board of The Robert Weiler Company, developer of numerous subdivisions and apartment/office/industrial complexes in Central Ohio, a real estate consultant, and a contributing editor for The Appraisal of Real Estate as well as an adjunct professor at Capital University Law School.

He has represented attorneys, investors, churches, and countless others in his distinguished career. Also he can claim numerous achievements. He has held the presidency of the Columbus Board of Realtors®, the Ohio Chapter #3 of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, the Columbus Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, and the Columbus Board of Education (1987). He is the current chairman for for the Metropolitan YMCA Board and for the Ohio Real Estate Appraisal Board, as well as past chair the Capital University Board of Trustees. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). He is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations.

A graduate of the University of Arizona with honors, Weiler received a Masters Degree from the Ohio State University in Real Estate in 1964 and a Doctorate Degree in Finance in 1968. In 1983, Weiler was awarded a Juris Doctorate Degree from Capital University Law School and was admitted to the Ohio Bar that same year.
