
Faculty BiosRobert Wade As director of the Institute for International Legal Education since 1994, Professor Wade coordinates the international activities for the Law School. Periodically, the Institute brings internationally distinguished foreign professors to teach at the Law School. In addition, the Institute offers semester study abroad opportunities for J.D. students who wish to study at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, the University of Passau in Germany, or the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. Professor Wade also directs and coordinates Capital's summer law student programs in Germany and Greece. Professor Wade was a visiting professor at Seton Hall University Law School in 1982, the University of Warsaw Faculty of Law and Administration in Poland in 1992, and the Mazowiecke Wyzsza Szola Humanistyczno-Pedagogiczna in Poland in 1999. He is an active member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations. He chaired and was a founding member of the Teaching Taxation Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation, he was a founding member and chair of the Ohio State Bar Association's Federal Taxation Committee and a founding member of the Federal Taxation Specialty Board of the Ohio State Bar Association. Late in 2003, Professor Wade was appointed by The Supreme Court of Ohio to its Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists. An active participant in Internal Revenue Service-Bar Association liaison activities for many years, Professor Wade serves as the current representative from the Ohio State Bar Association's Federal Taxation Committee to the Ohio Tax Panel. His scholarly writings and professional consulting focus on federal taxation matters. Professor Wade currently teaches Advanced Income Taxation Problems and Tax Procedures.
