A rising star in the field of tax, Professor Danshera Cords is a frequent speaker at bar associations and ABA meetings across the country on the topic of collection due process and tax procedure. You will find her recent articles on procedural fairness and efficient tax collection in the Brigham Young University Law Review, the University of Cincinnati Law Review, the Vermont Law Review and the St. Louis University Law Journal. An active member of the ABA Tax Section, she has served on several task forces which have provided comments on proposed regulations, studied the effect of the Alternative Minimum Tax, and commented on proposed changes to the Tax Court Rules. She also serves as editor of Tax Lawyer, Current Development in Administrative Practice and Procedure. Before joining Capital’s law faculty in 2002, Professor Cords was an attorney-advisor to The Hon. Maurice B. Foley of the U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C. She is the faculty advisor to the Tax Law Moot Court team and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Professor Cords also chairs the Capital University Faculty Senate, is vice president of the Central States Law Schools Association and is a member of the executive committee of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Post-Graduate Legal Education.
