Professional Bio

Shawn received his J.D. from Capital University Law School, his B.A. from the University of Dayton, and his DEF from the Université des Sciences Humaines de Strasbourg in France.

In law school, Shawn was a law clerk for the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Ohio and an extern to the Ohio CASA/GAL Association.   He served as the Public Interest Law Coordinator for Capital, a position in which he researched public interest law issues in legal education focusing on student pro bono work and loan forgiveness.   In addition, Shawn served as Co-President of the Bisexual, Gay, & Lesbian Law Association.   A strong student leader in law school, Shawn is a recipient of the Ronald I. Friedman Award.

 

Prior to law school and his current position, Shawn was a stage manager for local theatre companies.  He was also an English lecturer in France at the Collège Episcopale St. Etienne de Strasbourg.  Shawn is a former Leopold Schepp Foundation Scholar.
