On-Campus Recruiting Program (OCI)

We encourage you to send a representative from your organization to our school for an on-campus recruiting visit either in the fall or spring.  OCI is only available for student participation.

  • Fall 2009 Recruiting - September 9, 2009 - October 3, 2009
  • To participate, complete an Employer Recruiting Form (PDF) and mail or fax (614-236-7234) it to Capital's Career Services Office.
  • Then phone our office at (614) 236-6888 to schedule a date.
Pro Bono Opportunities

Capital's Pro Bono Recognition Program honors law students who have successfully completed at least 50 hours of pro bono legal work at approved sites. Participants receive a certificate signed by the Dean and Assistant Dean, the designation of Pro Bono Honoree on their academic transcripts, and recognition at commencement. The program is administered by Mary Ann Willis, Assistant Dean for Professional Development, who also serves on the Columbus Bar Association Pro Bono Committee.

For this program, law students may do pro bono legal work under the supervision of a licensed attorney in a variety of settings, including

  • Government agencies
  • Courts
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Corporations
  • Law firms

The work must be done without fee or expectation of remuneration or academic credit and may involve legal services for persons of limited means or participation in projects for improving the law, the legal system, or the legal profession.
