The Peter F. Frenzer Nationwide Insurance Training Facility was
established at the law school in 1997 in recognition of CDR’s
long-time partnership with Nationwide. Nationwide Insurance Enterprise
Foundation provided Capital University Law School with a $1 million
corporate donation to name the facilities that house the Center
for Dispute Resolution.
The gift was given in honor of Peter F. Frenzer, recently retired
president and chief executive operating office of Nationwide Life
Insurance. “I have seen many things get locked up in the
court system that would have been better addressed through mediation,”
Frenzer said. “The naming of this Center reflects my career
and my personal bent.” CDR’s affiliation with Nationwide
dates back to 1991 when both organizations shared an interest
in applying dispute resolution processes and skills in the insurance
industry.
