Mr.
Dewhirst is a partner engaged in the private practice of law with
the Columbus firm of Artz, Dewhirst & Wheeler, LLP. His areas
of practice include personal injury, business, and criminal law.
As an adjunct professor of law, he teaches negotiation, mediation,
and interviewing and counseling courses at Capital. Mr. Dewhirst's
dispute resolution activities are numerous. He has developed mediation
projects in Jamaica and Nicaragua, conducted mediation and negotiation
training programs, and produced negotiation and mediation training
manuals and videos. He is an approved mediator and arbitrator
for the Dalkon Shield Arbitration Program, United States Arbitration
and Mediation and National Alternative Dispute Resolution Services.
