How to Start A Law Firm
5.5 CLE Hours

9:00 am - 4:30 pm

The Office of Professional Development is excited to present a day-long CLE program on how to start a law firm.  Each session will be taught by local attorneys who have been successful in starting their own firms. Sessions will include:

  • Assessing the Decision:  Are you ready to start a solo or small firm practice?

  • Developing a Business Plan

  • Clients:  Finding, Keeping, & Controlling

  • Ask the Experts:  Dos & Don'ts Advice

This program will also include sessions on Ethics and Substance Abuse.  Lunch will be provided, during which participants will have the opportunity to network with presenters and other participants.

This is a five-day course in basic and advanced mediation skills through the Center for Dispute Resolution.
